Boeing And Oricom Are Collaborating On 3D Printing Of Titanium Alloy Parts.

Boeing and oricom are collaborating on 3D printing of titanium alloy parts.

Boeing and Swiss Mr. Kang company recently signed an agreement in the coming five years in titanium alloy parts to add material manufacturing cooperation, both sides will collaborate to develop used in metal material manufacturing of materials and production process, through 3 d printing production aircraft parts. Through this in-depth cooperation, it is expected to advance the application of 3D printing of titanium alloy materials in aviation, aerospace and military industry. The beginning of the cooperation will focus on titanium alloy powder materials, the production of the part must comply with the FAA and military standard, develop raw materials licensing procedures can be applied in aviation industry and production approval process, and in the next enables suppliers according to the fixed standard of quality and cost of airlines to add material manufacturing. So far, Boeing has used 50, 000 pieces of 3D printed parts since it was approved by the FAA in 2017. 3D printing technology can reduce the cost of aircraft production, improve product quality and key technical indicators, and greatly shorten the application maturity cycle. In this respect, aurelian has rich experience in manufacturing, and can provide technical support from metal powder manufacturing to design, manufacturing, post-processing and quality control.
